Sweeping Our Neighborhood - Opening Unlocked Cars
This suspicious vehicle and occupant was casing the Lakeridge Run neighborhood. He/she was driving with the lights off and opened several unlocked cars in the neighborhood. This would be burglar is driving a late model Chevy 4 door pickup. If you recognize this vehicle leave a comment below or call Ronnie @ 405-630-9406. The OKC Posse has offered a reward for providing a positive ID of the owner of this truck. This type of activity is referred to as "sweeping" a neighborhood. I know we had several windows broken during a sweeping of our neighborhood a couple of years ago, if that is why you are leaving your doors unlocked, I understand. Please remove everything if that will be your SOP. Crimeseen spoke to our neighborhood and suggested a Dakota Alert wireless motion ($125) that would create a "silent" alarm on your nightstand when someone is in your drive at 2AM. When you are alerted understand these guys are in the area for some time, do not exit your safe home or turn on lights, call 911 and tell them a burglary is in progress. If you can continue to watch them you can provide additional information for dispatch. DO NOT GO OUTSIDE WITH A FIREARM, when the police arrive you will look like the bad guy.
