Other residents in the same area have reported the same method was used to break into their homes, police said. When officers responded to a burglary call in the 5300 block of Rio Altos Drive, a homeowner showed them the broken lock on the front door and told them the house had surveillance equipment. It appears that once the men gained access to the house, the residential alarm sounded, causing the men to gather their items and walk to a white pickup truck parked across the street. They didn't take anything, police said. Anyone with information about the suspects shown in the surveillance footage or any other burglaries similar to this is asked to call Det. Michael Van Steenburg at 817-459-6080 or Crime Stoppers at 817-469-8477. All tipsters remain anonymous and are eligible for a possible reward.
