Dollar General Break In
OKLAHOMA CITY —Police are looking for two females who are seen trying to disable security cameras by throwing rocks at them before breaking into a southeast-side business. Officers responded about 2:40 a.m. Dec. 5 to a call about a loud alarm going off at Dollar General in the 1600 block of Southeast 44th Street. Police discovered that a window in the front of the store was broken out, but nobody was at the scene, according to a police report. Surveillance footage showed two females trying to disable a camera facing the east side of the building by throwing rocks at it shortly before 1:40 a.m. After failing to disable the camera, they hit the camera with a baseball bat, the report said. The females then broke out a front window with the bat and waited a few minutes before entering Dollar General. They went inside the store before leaving through an emergency exit around 2:30 a.m. The police report said no items were stolen and the only damage was to the glass window. Anyone with information about the females or the burglary is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 405-235-7300 or send tips online.
