Wagoner Sheriff's Department and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation are looking for information in a shooting that left a 73-year-old veteran fighting for his life.

Kenneth Payne was shot, and his weapons were stolen from Toppers gun range in Wagoner County Thanksgiving morning.

Payne, who is retired from the U.S. Air Force, was shot several times in the head. He was able to call his family for help on his cell phone.

"He was very badly wounded," said Jessica Brown, Public Information Officer for the OSBI. "He's been able to help us a little bit."

The suspects took a Cabela's "gun buggy" holding several weapons. Those include:

Mitchell Black Lightning .22 caliber magnum rifle serial # MBL02072
Smith & Wesson 9mm pistol Model SW-9UE serial # RBD7189
Smith & Wesson 9mm pistol Model 5940 serial # TC58060

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call the Wagoner County Sheriff's Department at 918-485-3124 or the OSBI at 800-522-8017.
