FROM FRISCO ONLINE: http://www.frisco-online.com/index.php/news/city-news/public-safety/2673.html FRISCO, TX – The Frisco Police Department is currently investigating a report that a male subject impersonating a police officer detained a local resident while he was walking in the vicinity of Hickory Street and North County in Frisco. The incident occurred at approximately 10:30 PM on Wednesday.
The resident stated that the male suspect was driving a late model white Chevrolet Tahoe with a wrap around black grill/bumper guard. The resident also stated that there appeared to be a computer mounted on a stand in the center of the vehicle and that he did not see any decals on the vehicle. The male suspect was wearing a uniform with a badge visible on his right chest. The suspect is believed to be a white male. There was no further description available.
The Frisco Police Department is asking that residents contact the police department with any information about this suspect or vehicle. The Frisco Police Department also urges residents to use caution and common sense when being pulled over by an unmarked police vehicle. Stop in a well lit and occupied area and if in doubt call 911 to verify that you are being stopped by a police officer.
