Suspect: Lee, Sam Quinton (W/M, DOB: 6/30/1972). Currently in custody in Pontotoc County. – Photos attached
The Oklahoma City Police White Collar Crimes Unit has received several complaints from elderly persons in Oklahoma City. The complaints involved the suspect (Sam Lee) knocking on the victim’s door and offering to perform some type of work for them. He charged large sums of money for work that he never completed.
As a result of this investigation, the suspect, Sam Lee, faces three counts of financial exploitation of the elderly. He is currently in the Pontotoc County Jail.
Investigators believe that Mr. Lee was not acting alone. He has been using a white truck with “Lee and Sons” written on the side of it.
Investigators with the White Collar Crimes Unit want to remind the public that criminals often prey on the elderly. It is never a good idea to hire someone based solely on the fact that they knock on your door and offer what may appear to be a legitimate service.
