Description

From Angie Van Ronk,
9137 Tidball Drive
"I don't know if this incident has been reported to any authorities, but in case it
hasn't, I wanted to share it with you so people are aware of the brazenness of some
criminals, and the potential threats to our assumed "security". Our neighbor, Ginny
Faubel at 9133 Tidball Drive shared on her facebook page that her son's football was
stolen yesterday afternoon, Oct. 28, from the front yard. It happened while her
children were in the front yard playing. A person apparently pulled up in front of
the house in a gold colored pick-up, got out, ran into the yard, took the ball, and
drove away. Ginny didn't post any others details on the person or the vehicle.
This is not only concerning because personal property was stolen regardless of the
time of day or witnesses, but that someone just got out of their car and got close
enough to kids to grab their toys while they were playing outdoors. I'm glad it was
just a football, because it seems obvious to me that it could have been worse, and I
think the residents of Heritage as well as law enforcement should be made aware of
this incident to raise awareness of the vulnerabilities most people overlook in our
seemingly safe community."
